every Wednesday through the school year
WHAT IS MIDWEEK?
Midweek is a weekly gathering with the purpose of fostering community in our faith family. We believe part of our transformation takes place in the context of community. Therefore we want to ensure we have a space which offers families to join together in authentic community on a weekly basis. All information of our weekly groups is provided below.
WHEN IS MIDWEEK?
Every Wednesday through the school year. An optional dinner is provided at 5:30 (cost $3) for you and your family to eat together. All evening studies begin at 6:30 and ends at 8:00PM. We look forward to journeying together as we grow in His truth.
On Wednesday nights, SY gathers together to have fun, worship, and enjoy teaching and small groups. Small groups are separated by gender and grade. We’re excited about this Fall and would love for students 6th-12th grade to come hang out with us! New students are invited to get more information about SY at the SY Connect desk on Wednesday Nights in the Chapel.
Join us and other 20 Something’s in our faith family every Wednesday evening. Over the next few moths we hope to that create space for story. In these weeks together we’ll discover the freedom and beauty of telling and living our stories in light of God’s Great Incarnational Story. Join us as we study and share together!
We are currently studying the book of Daniel. The purpose of this book is to provide a historical account how the Lord God protected and provided for His faithful followers while in captivity. It also includes a vision of future redemption and hope. Come join us! Contact Dana Dodd for further questions / firstname.lastname@example.org .
Our Midweek Study will parallel with our Sunday Morning series, The Gospel of John Sings of Life.
The Gospel of John is all about life. Jesus is presented as the source of life. His mission is to give life. The book was written so that people could have that life through faith. Throughout this gospel, different signs are described as demonstrations of the identity of Christ. Some are miraculous. Some are mundane. All point to the amazing offer of life through faith in Jesus Christ.Like a skillful musician, John weaves images throughout the book that highlight the life Jesus offers. They come into focus for a moment and fade into the background only to reappear later in different ways. They are everyday ideas pointing to supernatural life that comes through faith. Word. Birth. Water. Bread. Light. Tears. Vine. Rise. Breakfast. As we explore the Gospel of John, these symbols will be our guides. They will lead us to Christ who gives us life.
